It has been scientifically proven that there are benefits from yoga. Increased flexibility and stress relief, just to name a couple. But did you know that doing yoga with conscious breathing can improve your quality of sleep. Practicing yoga before bed can *Relax your muscles *Destress you *Increase blood flow *Induce relaxation *Rid the body of toxins through diaphragmatic breathing Even if it's only a 10-15 minute sequence, doing yoga can help you sleep better
Thai red curry with vegetables is such a hit in our family. Although we kept it vegetarian this time we've also added chicken or shrimp in the past. We also change between brown rice, quinoa, or rice noodles to serve it over. I swear it's the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Check my stories to see how it's made!!
We already make positive affirmations a part of our daily routine but today we're working on creating our own affirmation cards to use in other ways. Positive affirmations help us to be now in time with our thoughts and the way that we (and our children) think about ourselves. It's important to eliminate negative thought processes. Self affirmations are so motivating and have a GREAT impact on our quality of life
Bedtime Inspirational Stories: 50 Amazing Black People who changed the world. The kids learned about Toussaint L'Overture then drew pictures based on what they learned
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
Burrito bowls on this gloomy day. Honestly, this is one of our family faves and we make this at least twice a week. You can add whatever veggies and protein you want and cheese if you like
They had free frozen yogurt today so of course I got some with blueberries!!
Took the kiddos hiking today since the weather has warmed up a bit. I now have a backpack full of leaves, pinecones and sticks that im sure we will use to do something crafty tomorrow
We made butternut squash empanadas at the Farmer's Market this morning and of course bout some fresh organic local veggies
Fog on her glasses from the still steaming tea ❤ A book in her hand as she casually reads ❤ A catch in her breath as the climax grows near ❤ She's deaf to the world: the book's all she can hear ❤ She's completely lost now, or perhaps she is found ❤ In this strange paper world that's far from the ground ❤
